Match Stats

Sao Paulo suffered a disappointing 4-1 defeat against Vasco da Gama in their last outing at Estadio Sao Januario, marking their second consecutive match without a win. Andre Silva opened the scoring early for Vasco, followed by goals from Guilherme Estrella, Leandrinho, David, and an own goal from Alan Franco, sealing the victory for the hosts.

Before this setback, Sao Paulo's 13-game unbeaten streak across all competitions ended with a 1-0 home loss to Cuiaba on June 20, courtesy of a late goal by Eliel. In their last four matches, Sao Paulo have recorded two draws and two losses, their last win coming against 10-man Cruzeiro on June 2.

Meanwhile, Criciuma enters the match buoyed by consecutive victories, defeating Botafogo 2-1 at Estadio Heriberto Hulse in their last game. Former Botafogo player Barreto opened the scoring for Criciuma, and despite Botafogo's equalizer by Lucas Halter, Arthur Caike's late goal secured the win for the Lone Star, ending Botafogo's 10-game unbeaten streak.

Prior to this win, Criciuma also triumphed over 10-man Atletico Goianiense with a 2-1 scoreline on June 19, marking their first victory in six consecutive matches across all competitions. Under coach Claudio Tencati, Criciuma has shown resilience, earning seven points from their last three matches after a 3-1 loss to Athletico Paranaense on June 14 at Arena da Baixada.

Prediction: Sao Paulo 1-1 Criciuma
