In their opening group stage match, Turkey secured a 3-1 victory over Georgia. With the score tied at 1-1, Arda Güler scored a spectacular long-range goal, helping Turkey regain the lead and significantly contributing to the team's victory. This goal also marked his first goal in his European Championship career.
In the round of 16 clash against Austria, in the 59th minute, Arda Güler took a corner kick and delivered it into the penalty area where Demiral headed in to score his second goal of the match, extending Turkey's lead to 2-0. This assist marked Arda Güler first in his European Championship career.
