A Liverpool legend has commented on Chelsea's transfer policy.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has criticized Chelsea's transfer policy and addressed the club's management.
Speaking on MNF, Carragher stated that the London club needs to stop the relentless acquisition of players. He also suggested that players should reconsider moving to Chelsea.
"The only reason you would sign is because someone, your agent, might say: 'We're signing a seven-year deal on big money, that's guaranteed money for seven years.' You know what I'd say? Back yourself as a player.
Sign a four-year deal at a good club, perform well, and when the time comes to renew, your money will increase anyway. I don't understand why players are signing seven-year contracts," Carragher said.
He also questioned how all 40 players manage to share the same dressing room and conduct training sessions.
Chelsea's head coach, Enzo Maresca, commented on the 0-2 defeat against Manchester City in his debut match in charge of the team.
