OFFICIAL. Former Atletico defender signed with Roma.
Despite the transfer window in Italy already being closed, Roma managed to pull off a very interesting signing.
Today, the Roman club officially announced the acquisition of Spanish central defender Mario Hermoso. He joined Roma as a free agent.
Hermoso has signed a three-year contract with the club.
A product of Real Madrid's academy, Mario Hermoso had been playing for Atlético Madrid since the summer of 2019, after moving from Espanyol for €25 million. During his time under Diego Simeone, Hermoso made 174 appearances and scored 10 goals.
