[EPL] Manchester City is gradually getting back on track, and now they face teams from the lower half of the table.
Manchester City is having one of their most challenging seasons in recent years. In the last round, they finally broke their winless streak in the Premier League, which lasted four matches (two draws and two losses). The team managed to beat Leicester 2-0 away from home.
Interestingly, this victory became only the second for Pep Guardiola’s side in the last ten Premier League games, which also included two draws and six losses. As a result, Manchester City occupies 6th place in the table after 19 matches, already 14 points behind Liverpool.
West Ham’s four-match unbeaten run in the Premier League ended last round after two wins and two draws. The Hammers suffered a heavy 0-5 loss to Liverpool at home, which marked their fifth big defeat of the season.
Currently, under Julen Lopetegui, West Ham sits in 13th place in the table, with an 8-point buffer from the relegation zone. The team continues to struggle with consistency, especially away from home. In the last eight away matches, West Ham managed only two victories and suffered heavy defeats by two or more goals to Leicester (1-3), Nottingham Forest (0-3), and Tottenham (1-4).
