Interestingly, this sequence has seen them win 4-3 at this venue against Lille, so they will be confident of their chances.

PSG ended their season with a 2-0 win over Metz, which was their second victory in a row. This run was much-needed, as the Parisians failed to win four matches in a row before these twin wins. Three defeats and a draw in that sequence have taken the sheen off their campaign, and two of those defeats came in the Champions League, where they were dumped out by Borussia Dortmund in the semis. Having easily won the Ligue 1 title, PSG would now look to win the Coupe de France for the 15th time, although they haven’t won this since beating Monaco in 2021. PSG have failed to keep a clean sheet in ten of their last 11 competitive matches, which puts their defensive abilities under the scanner here.

PSG defeated Lyon 4-1 in both matches in Ligue 1 this season, but that is unlikely to give them an edge in this final. Lyon are likely to give PSG a good run for their money, and they should fancy their chances of getting at least a goal. The Parisians have an advantage, thanks to the multiple superstars they boast, but Lyon should find a goal here.
