Belgium will continue their preparation for the upcoming Euros when they welcome Montenegro to Brussel on Wednesday evening.
Belgium’s Euro 2024 preparations continue with this home international friendly against Montenegro. The Belgians are again among the favorites to become European champions but always seem to find some way of failing to do so. They’ll certainly want to do better than their disastrous 2022 World Cup campaign. Since losing to Morocco, they have gone 13 games unbeaten. Their last two games have both ended level, away at Ireland and England. They so nearly won at Wembley with them leading twice before a 95th minute goal gave England a 2-2 draw. Their home form is much better with the last two games both won to nil. Two of their last four home matches have been won 5-0. The most recent one was against Azerbaijan with four being scored in the first half, all by Romelu Lukaku. Belgium are unbeaten in the last seven home games played in their country.
Montenegro have won their last two internationals, away at Belarus and home to North Macedonia. Both were won to nil but it’s going to be a hard task keeping Belgium out. Before those couple of wins, they’d lost two of their last three games, being beaten in Serbia and Hungary. The win in Belarus ended a run of three away games without a victory. Their away form is poor with seven of their last 11 games being lost. We go for Belgium to win this match and be leading at both half and full time.
Belgium can get a win over Montenegro in this international friendly. They've drawn their last two matches but both were away and they nearly got the win in England. Home form is strong and the goals have been flowing, especially from Romelu Lukaku. Montenegro struggle on their travels and haven't qualified for Euro 2024.
