Manchester City kick off a three-game road trip in London with a Premier League clash against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium, seeking their fourth win in a row.

Manchester United's iconic Class of 92, including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, and Nicky Butt, could only watch as their Salford City team suffered an 8-0 FA Cup thrashing at the hands of Manchester City. James McAtee’s hat-trick, Jeremy Doku’s brace, and goals from Jack Grealish, Divin Mubama, and Nico O'Reilly highlighted the dominant display.

This marked City’s first eight-goal haul in the FA Cup since 1933 and continued their strong form, following Premier League victories over West Ham and Leicester City. Currently sixth, City are just two points off the Champions League spots and have scored in seven consecutive league games.

Brentford, meanwhile, endured a shock 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Plymouth Argyle, despite their recent 5-0 win over Southampton in the league. Their home form has dipped, with the Bees risking a third straight Premier League loss at the Gtech Community Stadium. 

City have won their last three league meetings with Brentford, including a 2-1 victory in September, as Erling Haaland’s double canceled out Yoane Wissa’s early goal.
