Europa League focus battle:Can Roma survive strongly at home?
Despite a subpar performance in Rotterdam, Daniele De Rossi's Roma was pleased to secure a draw at the intense atmosphere of De Kuip. Romelu Lukaku's second-half equalizer, continuing his remarkable Europa League scoring streak with 17 goals in his last 18 matches in the competition, could play a crucial role in deciding the tie. Since De Rossi took over from Jose Mourinho, Roma's performances and results have been largely positive, with three wins and only one loss to Serie A leaders Inter Milan in six matches. Their only defeat under De Rossi was followed by a positive draw in the first leg and a convincing 3-0 win over Frosinone last weekend.
Feyenoord must overcome their recent struggles against Roma, as the Italian side is the only team to defeat them in the knockout stages in the past two seasons and the 2014-15 campaign. Arne Slot's team needs a historic performance at the Olimpico to prolong their European journey. Notably, Feyenoord's only failure to score in their last 29 away matches occurred in Rome against Lazio in November. Additionally, Feyenoord has not won any of their last nine away games in Europe, including a defeat at the Olimpico last season. Despite an 11-game unbeaten run, mostly at home, Feyenoord faces a challenging task against Roma.
