Tottenham Hotspur will hope to keep their Champions League chase alive when they host Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Spurs have won four and lost one of their last five home games, winning 11 at home this season and losing four. They have won six, drawn two and lost two of their last ten games, with both teams scoring in eight of those matches. They have won seven of their last eight games at home, scoring 14 goals in those games but conceding 8. They were somewhat fortunate to beat Luton 2-1 at home last time they played at home and their last game saw them draw 1-1 away to West Ham in midweek. Yet to draw at home this season in the Premier League, Spurs have the 6th best home record of all teams in the EPL at present.
Since a 4-2 defeat at Aston Villa back in February, Forest have tightened up defensively. They haven't stopped the goals completely, but have conceded just one goal in their last six games, losing the first three 1-0, but then drawing the next two (1-1 away to Luton and 1-1 at home to Crystal Palace) and following those points with a 3-1 win over Fulham at the City Ground in midweek. With away games still to come against Everton, Sheffield United and Burnley, as well as this game with Spurs, it could be Forest's away form that ultimately decides their fate this season in the Premier League. This game at the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium represents a 'free hit' for Forest against a team whose recent form suggests that the team from Nottingham are very much second-favourites in this game.
