West Ham vs B. Leverkusen - West Ham have to beat unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen to make the Europa League semi-finals
West Ham's home form in Europe has been excellent, with four wins from four and just one goal conceded with 11 scored. Domestically, their record is much less impressive with just one win in their last eight home games. Their away form has been better over that same period, with three wins, a draw and five defeats. David Moyes' team come into this game having suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to Fulham at the weekend. It left them in eighth position in the Premier League with 48 points from 33 games. On the plus side, in their last home Europa League game, they did put five past Freiburg.
Bayer Leverkusen's record-breaking season continued at the weekend with a 5-0 win over Werder Bremen. The victory secured them their first Bundesliga title. Xabi Alonso's men are now 42 games unbeaten and have drawn just five of those matches. They finished top of Group H with maximum points from their six games, scoring 19 goals in the process. But they were given a real scare by Qarabag in the Round of 16, coming back twice from 2-0 down to secure a draw in the first leg and then a 3-2 win in the second. That win came courtesy of two very late injury time goals from striker Patrick Schick. Two late goals also did for West Ham in the first leg. So with Leverkusen's form being so imperious and confidence sky high, it is hard to imagine the new Bundesliga Champions faltering.
