On Tuesday at the Olimpico, Lazio seeks a feat against Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-final return leg.
Lazio will look to overcome the first-leg deficit when they take on Juventus in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals. This match at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Tuesday will see Juventus carry a 2-0 lead from the first leg. Second-half goals from Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic have given Juventus a much-needed win in Turin. Following that defeat, Lazio lost 1-0 to Roma in the league but recovered well to post consecutive wins. Salernitana and Genoa aren’t perhaps the right set of teams to prepare at the level of Juventus, but Lazio would take those wins to build momentum. Impressively for the hosts, they have won their last two matches at this venue, one of those a 1-0 win over Juventus. In fact, that was their only win across three matches against Juventus this season.
Juventus won twice against Lazio already in this campaign, but both came home. They come into this match in slightly indifferent form, winning one and drawing two of their three games after the first-leg win. That included a 2-2 draw against Cagliari last Friday, where they had to come back from two goals down. A draw is slightly better than a loss, as Juventus have been poor since mid-January. Juventus have failed to win ten of their last 13 competitive matches, drawing six and losing four. It gets worse on the road, though, where Juventus have struggled lately. They are without a win in their last six away matches in all competitions, drawing and losing three matches each, which puts them in a tricky position for this match.
