Ahead of their Copa America campaign, Ecuador will face Honduras in their last friendly match at Connecticut .

Under the guidance of head coach Felix Sanchez, Ecuador had previously secured three wins and two draws in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers, positioning themselves well for a shot at the 2026 global finals. But before focusing on that, their attention is squarely on the upcoming Copa America, where their first group match against Venezuela awaits on June 22.

Ranked 31st in the FIFA world rankings, Ecuador may not be considered favorites in the US-hosted tournament, but they are determined to progress from Group B, which includes Mexico, Venezuela, and Jamaica.

Meanwhile, Honduras, after a string of unimpressive performances, found their stride by defeating CONCACAF opponents Bermuda and Cuba, putting nine goals past them.
