After clinching the UEFA Super Cup, Real Madrid will kick off their 2024-25 La Liga season with a match against Mallorca at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.

Mallorca will compete in La Liga for the fourth consecutive season, their best stretch since 2013, but they struggled during the 2023-24 campaign. Finishing 15th, just seven points clear of relegation, they now have a new manager, Jagoba Arrasate, who joined from Osasuna.

Their pre-season included losses to AC Milan and Barcelona but a win over Chelsea, and they showed strong second-half form against Atalanta. Last season, they dominated La Liga with 95 points, the best attacking and defensive records, and only one defeat. They aim to start their 2024-25 campaign on a high before facing Real Valladolid and Las Palmas later in the month.
