Starting their Premier League campaign with another London derby, Brentford will host Crystal Palace at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Brentford are set for their fourth consecutive Premier League season, having established themselves as a solid mid-table team in their early years. However, last season was a struggle, with a significant effort required to avoid relegation, finishing 16th and just above the 40-point mark. They achieved their highest-ever Premier League finish and points total by securing 10th place with 49 points. Their late-season form, including impressive wins over Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Liverpool, was driven by key players like Eberechi Eze, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Michael Olise.

Despite losing Olise to Bayern Munich for £50m, Palace retained Eze and Mateta and went unbeaten in five pre-season matches. Their unbeaten streak extends to 12 matches, and they ended a series of draws with Brentford by winning 3-1 in December.
