Denmark vs Norway Predictions & Tips ahead of this clash in Brondby on Saturday. Can the Danes claim another win ahead of Euro 2024?
Denmark will play host to Norway in the last of their preparation games ahead of the 2024 European Championship. In the first of two matches against Scandinavian opponents, Denmark overcame Sweden 2-1 on Wednesday. It took Cristian Eriksen’s late strike to hand Denmark a second straight win. Save for Alexander Isak’s quick leveler after Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg’s early goal, Denmark never seemed to be overwhelmed by Sweden. Hojbjerg isn’t a popular scorer but with two goals in as many matches for Denmark, he will head into this one very confident. The Danes come here unbeaten in three matches, and have only lost once in the last 11 outings. Their only rough patch in recent times came when they failed to score in two straight games – against the Netherlands and Switzerland. However, when playing at home, Denmark have been tough to beat. They are actually unbeaten in their last 10 home matches, winning nine. The hosts have also put together a strong home run in friendly matches, being unbeaten in the last 15.
Despite all the talent at their disposal, Norway will once again miss the Euros. They finished third in their qualification group, 10 points behind eventual winners Spain. Heading into this game, they snapped a three-game winless run, beating Kosovo 3-0. Erling Haaland, the Premier League top scorer in the last two seasons, scored all their goals. The win also came with Norway’s first clean sheet in four matches. They’ve conceded two or more in two of their last four matches. However, when it comes to attack, Norway are one of the most complete sides in Europe. In their last 10 matches, they scored at least twice in seven. The visitors have however not done so well against Denmark in their most recent meetings. Norway have lost three of their last five matches against Denmark with the other two ending in draws. They do have three straight wins in away friendly matches, but in the previous nine they failed to register a victory.
